In July 2005, BXT Corporation embarked on a bold venture into tourism-oriented projects, establishing BXT Resort Development Corp. to spearhead investments in this vibrant sector. This marked the genesis of Phil. BXT Corporation, as we set our sights on creating extraordinary experiences for travelers worldwide.
By December 2005, our vision began to materialize as we acquired a sprawling 7.5-hectare lot in Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City, laying the foundation for our future resort project. Under the name of Joil UBF Corporation, this site would soon blossom into the iconic Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark.
In March 2011, the journey took a significant turn as Everjust Realty Development Corp., owned by the esteemed Uy family, secured a 50% ownership stake in Phil BXT Corporation. This partnership brought together a wealth of experience and expertise, propelling our endeavors to new heights.
By May 2015, the Uy Family assumed full ownership of Phil BXT Corporation, infusing our operations with renewed vigor and a commitment to excellence.
In September 2017, our ambitions expanded further as we acquired an additional lot adjacent to the property, expanding our total footprint to an impressive 16.5 hectares. This strategic move paved the way for further innovation and growth, solidifying our position as a premier destination in the heart of Cebu.
